Terms of service
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Marlowe & Paw website and purchases made through marlowepaw.com.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you access or use our website or purchase from us. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.
1. About Us
Marlowe & Paw is a trading name operated by Jason Abbott, a UK sole trader.
Throughout these Terms, “Marlowe & Paw”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating this website.
We offer thoughtfully selected pet-care products and accessories through our online store.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years old; or
You have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
You must provide accurate and complete information when ordering.
3. Products and Availability
All products are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to:
Limit the quantities available for purchase
Discontinue or modify products
Correct errors in product information
Refuse orders where reasonably necessary
We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, dimensions, colours and images accurately. However, colours and details may appear differently depending on your device and screen settings.
Please check product measurements, compatibility and suitability carefully before ordering.
4. Pet Safety and Product Use
Products must only be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions, warnings and care information supplied.
Pet owners are responsible for:
Choosing an appropriate product and size for their pet
Supervising their pet where appropriate
Inspecting products regularly for wear or damage
Discontinuing use if a product becomes damaged or causes discomfort
Information on our website is provided for general purposes and is not veterinary, medical or professional advice. If you are concerned about your pet’s health, behaviour or safety, consult a qualified veterinary professional.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, incorrect or not as described.
5. Pricing and Payments
Prices are displayed in GBP (£) unless another currency is shown for your selected market.
The total price, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, will be displayed before you complete your order.
We reserve the right to:
Change prices before an order is placed
Correct genuine pricing or description errors
Cancel an order before dispatch where an obvious error has occurred
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Shopify Payments and PayPal. We do not store your complete payment-card details.
6. Orders and Contract Formation
After placing an order, you will receive an order-confirmation email acknowledging that we have received it. This email does not mean that the order has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been dispatched.
Before dispatch, we may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including because of:
Product unavailability
An obvious pricing or listing error
Suspected fraud or unauthorised payment
Abuse of promotions
Suspected unauthorised resale
If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
7. Discounts and Promotions
Discounts and promotional offers are subject to their stated conditions and availability.
Unless expressly stated:
Only one eligible offer may apply
Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash
Promotions may be changed or withdrawn before an order is placed
Discount codes cannot be applied retrospectively after checkout
Nothing in this section affects a contract that has already been formed.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days before dispatch.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, courier network, customs processing and circumstances outside our reasonable control. Full estimated delivery information is provided in our Shipping Policy.
Tracking details will be supplied when available. Tracking information may take several days to appear within the courier’s network after dispatch.
If a delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to provide information and resolve the situation. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Please contact us immediately if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after processing has begun.
Responsibility for the goods remains with us until they are delivered to you or to a person you have nominated to receive them.
9. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.
Information about cancellations, returns, damaged products and refunds is provided in our Refund Policy.
Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide the correct instructions and return address.
We may decline a standard return that does not meet the published return conditions, but nothing in our policy limits your rights where goods are faulty, unsafe, incorrect or not as described.
10. Intellectual Property
The text, graphics, logos, branding, website design and other content displayed on this website are owned by or licensed to Marlowe & Paw and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to third-party services, payment providers or websites. We are not responsible for third-party content or services that are outside our control.
Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Breach of your statutory consumer rights
Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded
Any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

14. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If such an event materially affects your order, we will contact you where reasonably possible and take appropriate steps to minimise the impact. Your legal rights, including any applicable right to cancel, remain unaffected.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and contracts formed through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of your country or place of residence.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal obligations.
Updated Terms apply from the date they are published and will not retrospectively alter an existing order contract unless required by law or agreed with you.
The “Last updated” date will show when the latest revision was made.
18. Severability
